D!Club – Lausanne
As a former theatre hall turned into a cinema, then a club in 1996, the D! is now renowned in Switzerland as the most iconic place of the underground electro nightlife, where most international top DJs have played.
Agence En Place has been consulted by SAS Architecture cabinet and Alexandre Boyer studios to design and realise both main bar’s and VIP’s interior bar layouts. Beyond their initial challenge to rebirth that mythical place using meticulously designed to the finest details modern and minimalist materials, they were also missioned to increase the commercial volume from 650 to 1 000 people. Our challenge was to heighten both stocking and production capacity besides the allocated zone. The bars now include 7 production points in total, each equipped with tailormade refrigerated cabinets, beer taps and soda guns systems, prepped for up to 1 000 clubbers.
