Bar 8 @ Mandarin Oriental – Paris

Hidden in the shade of its inner-garden, Bar 8 from the Mandarin Oriental Paris palace invites you to a discreet and peaceful getaway in the center of Paris. With its contemporary design, the shell-shaped bar, tailor-carved within an imposing marble chunk, offers fine spirits and a collection of fashion design drinks.

Agence En Place has been consulted by Judicaël Noël, Operation Manager, to redesign and optimise a part of the bar so as to fit the increasing activity, while guaranteeing a both professional and aesthetic mise en place. The most technical challenge was to merge our layout to the existing bar: cutting a piece of the bar to rebuid a tailormade station in, fitting the curves of the marble. Then repolishing each weld to make them perfectly smooth and invisible to the naked eyes to get a mirror polished stainless steel finish.
